CHI
  1. Barrie, Tyson
  2. Puljujärvi, Jesse
Détails additionnels:
I don't think Barrie has positive value but let me know if i'm wrong. borgstom doesn't have much value eigther but Barrie and Borg are in for cap purposes. I'm looking at this trade as more of a 1 for 1
EDM
  1. Borgström, Henrik
  2. Murphy, Connor
Détails additionnels:
Murphy is cost controlled at 4.4 x 4 and JP is due for a raise. Murphy is exactly what the oilers need and they don't lose a pick in case they miss the playoffs and have murph for 5 years minimum
2.
CHI
  1. Choix de 2e ronde en 2022 (PIT)
Détails additionnels:
Figure out how to make the cap work in another trade so we don't have to take zucker. Pens need reliable goalie play behind Jarry. He's going to get over worked down the stretch and they are toast if he gets hurt
PIT
  1. Fleury, Marc-André (3 500 000 $ retained)
3.
CHI
  1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2022 (CGY)
4.
CHI
  1. Choix de 3e ronde en 2023 (TOR)
  2. Choix de 5e ronde en 2023 (TOR)
TOR
  1. De Haan, Calvin (2 275 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
plays the right side. Really solid defensive dman that I think TOR could use down the stretch. Can send a player back to make cap work but TOR adds if its a cap dump (cough cough ritche)

The only way the Toronto trade works is if you take cap back. So make that Mrazek and a 4th and I would do that deal.

Please stop sending us MAF. It's not happening and the Pens aren't giving that up, nor do they have the cap space even with 50% retention. Hextall does not share the same sense of nostalgia.

Not a chance the Hawks take on Mrazek's cap dump for a 2nd round pick.

In my opinion you have the returns for MAF and Kubalik switched. Value for MAF at 50% should be a 1st and Kubalik is a 2nd.

Edmonton doesn't really have enough wingers to fill out the top 9 yet. They can't go trading any of them. They have enough cap to resign Puljujarvi.

Edmonton needs to upgrade the D, but they can’t do that by trading one of their very few forwards who can score.

Doubt Pens can make that work.

Kubalik is a lefty if I’m not mistaken. Flames have enough of left handed forwards.

Leafs can’t afford that. Cap would have to be made work somehow. Double retention or something.

Kubalik is but has spend half his time (and arguably the most success) playing on the right as often the case with snipers playing the opposite side.

I just wouldn't trade Kubalik for a 2nd. If thats really all we can get I would just give him the QO and hope he can regain value over the next year and trade him later

Mrazek is still a capable tender and works great in tandems. He has injury problems and they have kept him out of the crease. So far this year. I would add more than a third to make that trade happen and you might be surprised with the answer Chicago gives considering their depth in net right now. He would be good for the young tenders

How in the hell do we still not acknowledge the need for a rebuild? Nothing will ever come from a retool in this franchise especially considering the evidence of the last 5 years. This team is no where near good enough to challenge with a retool. They need to focus on firing mark kelley and getting a better head of amateur scouting, trade all older players who can bring value, and actually get a coaching staff that can GROW the ****ing prospects.

It’s agonizing to see this still be a debate.

My man. I've been watching him play in CAR for years. If you truly believe this. Fine, feel they way you want. I've been trying to convince other CAR fans for years that Waddell was messing up that whole tandem thing. They had two backups for years and now they finally have a good goalie in Freddie and a good backup in Raanta. Mrazek has been consistently inconsistent for years now and he's had an injury history longer than just this year. I certainly don't want him in CHI or back in CAR. He's not a 1b in my mind. He's a backup that's worth $2M a year.

A rebuild involves Kane and Toews being traded. Thats really the only difference between this and a rebuild in my eyes. We really should probably trade them but management doesn't seem willing to and they haven't asked out yet. this post isn't what I think they should do but it's what I think they will do

Not really. They have NMC clauses. Willingness of management has nothing to do with it. Plus, their contracts are up after next year, and tearing down doesn't have to happen in one season. Also "re-tool" implies an effort to make the team better -- this team looks worse. Soderblom is not ready, and Lankinen needs help back there. If trading Kane and Toews is the difference between a rebuild and a retool, does that mean that Anaheim and LA didn't rebuild because they still have Getzlaf and Doughty, respectively? Those words are just social constructs -- doesn't matter much what you call it. Blackhawks are in bad shape and need to make moves that will help them develop elite players . . . that will take a lot of time.

Putting aside the fact that I agree completely that the hawks are in trouble for a while, I love that you actually turned that answer into sociology lesson. Well played.

anahiem and LA had more to work with than we do. If we don't trade Kane and Toews the cubboard is still bare. Maybe if we didn't trade for seth jones it would be different
