Okay, I just thought I'd kick the tires since they signed him in free agency to what looked like kind of an okay contract for a good bottom six forward

Okay now I'm starting to wonder if you are just here trying to troll me, because I've seen you comment once before on another thread of mine. I have no reason to believe you actually give a damn about my trade assessment ability since you don't have a favorite team listed on your profile, you just have an AVATAR of Landeskog which only tells me so much

I believe its Peter Forsberg (not Landeskog).

And its a very strong return for Boeser. You get a Mukhamadullin, a young RD who has set records as teenager in KHL and is a very good two-way prospect. Jesper Boqvist is a speed/skill forward that could play 3C or on wing and has some upside. And 1st rounder that could be a very high pick in loaded draft. And a extra 4th.

For the Devils, however, I don't think they would do it. Especially with Boeser's contract uncertainty.

Forsberg, my bad, thanks for correcting me

There isn't a lot of contract uncertainty with Boeser, he's been a fairly consistent scorer since he came into the league, and has a lethal shot. My mouth waters just thinking about a right side consisting of Boeser and Holtz. The draft pick that the Devils used to select Mukhamadulin originally belonged to Vancouver actually. Vancouver traded that pick to Tampa for JT Miller, and then the Lightning flipped it for Coleman

The "contract uncertainty" is based on his current deal expires at the end of this season and he is in his final year of RFA, so could hypothetically just sign his Qualify Offer and get to UFA in Summer, 2023. Its why Buffalo has to trade Reinhart as he had planned to sign his last QO, and become UFA following year.

If Boeser would agree to extension before the trade (to any team) the Canucks would get a lot more for him. If not, they would likely get less than what is above.

I don’t see a scenario where NJ moves their 2023 first. They haven’t proven they can be competitive and there are questions with the goaltending. They haven’t done enough to place that big of a bet on their offense with this trade.

Its a picture of Peter Forsberg. I am just giving you my opinion on your trades, and they don't address any of the Canucks actual needs. If they were to move Miller or Boeser you better expect a top 4 RHD coming back in return for one of them, otherwise it makes no sense. Both the Miller and Boeser trades are underwhelming, that's all I'm trying to say.

Then I'll assume that New Jersey has already agreed to an extension with Boeser before this trade goes down
