I don't think Kapanen is a meaningful upgrade on Connor Brown, if he is one at all.

3 years younger but somehow his numbers aren’t even on par with Brown’s despite playing on a top 5 team in the league instead of bottom 5. Genuinely don’t think it’s an upgrade and certainly wouldn’t want to add a 2nd to Brown.

Kapanen is a downgrade from Brown, no question

Not disagreeing but Kappy has been playing with 3rd and 4th liners cause Malkin has been out most of the season. He got maybe a few games with Crosby but it’s been mostly Carter and erod.

Connor Brown is 2nd NHL forward in SH TOI/GP since 2019-20. Kapanen doesn't PK


Brown is only 2.5 years older than Kapanen, Sens need to improve their team defense. This trade wouldn't be productive at all for Ottawa
