There are people on this site that thing Chiarot and Lehkonen are worth that and then there are sane people. Imagine how some say Lehkonen has that value yet others say Hertl doesn’t have that value lol this site is wack

we should be happy with a 2nd+decent prospect...Coleman got a 1st+B+ prospect due to contract + 20 goal production...we could maybe get a Barclay Goodrow return (1st) but he was a sub $1M player for 1.5 years on a cap crunch team...Lehkonen 1/2 retained is a great get for any team because he has team control but it won't be as cheap of a contract as Coleman/Goodrow

FL is very HIGH on Chychurn... So built a package to NYR with Lehky & Chiarot+ 2nd for Lundkvist & Kravtsov
Value= Lehkonen +2nd for a 1st pick value
Chiarot for a 1st pick value

I would try to trade for JT Miller in Vancouver instead... maybe for Hoffman + Armia (2M retain)

there is a massive difference between speculation and a report. Chariot's value is 100% pure speculation by pannalists who havent been very good at price evaluation in years and Lehkonen was compared to coleman as a 'type' of player due to his versatility, not a value comparison.

mmm Coleman got a 1st + A level prospect not B as Foote still technically is A level

Lehkonen is Coleman who doesn't score goals.

With Coleman also the fact he had two years left with very cheap also played a huge factor for TB.

Honestly there's very little same with Lehkonen and Coleman as far as I can see. Both are left wingers that can defend? I dunno what Seravalli is thinking by saying that.

I dont think a Coleman return is likely as unless someone is desperate paying a 1st + A level prospect for him is nuts

Now people may go to Goodrow but he was making 925k for another year so that contract was one of the main reason SJS got a 1st.

A 2nd and a B prospect is probs the best result.

Lehkonen is a guy that (just from watching him in Montreal for the last 6 years) I wonder might sign a 6 year deal or something at a team friendly cost. He signs cheap and gets security in term. Just an observation.

I like Miller but Habs are in no place to be acquiring him right now, and it'll cost a hell of a lot more than that.

My opinion is your package seems close to accurate. I’d even say those 2 guys would get 2nd +2nd +3rd ish and by adding a 2nd brings it to your value.

Toffoli isnt going nowhere unless Hughes gets what he wants. In that case, the offer above isnt enough. Try a first and Pelletier or Coronato

We have enough Mysak, Tuch, Fairbrother type of prospects (which we get in the 2nd and 3rd round), we need quality and Pelletier brings that.

But that’s not what he said, right?

Pretty sure it was more in the context of, “he’ll be a highly sought after bottom six guy.” But he’s not as good as Coleman, and more importantly, didn’t have the contract Coleman had.

Well it was only one second, right?

Either way, i think roughly 35% of this offer.

Not that I don't agree with you but if that were the case, why even bring up Coleman's name at all then? Plenty of other better comparable bottom 6 forwards traded in recent years to choose from. He singled out Coleman for a reason, which he didn't have to.

I think he very purposefully crafted his commentary in a way that doesn't literally say Lehkonen = Coleman therefore he will get EXACTLY what NJ got but also left the listener to assume themselves by putting 2 and 2 together with something he never actually said. That way he can fall back and say "I never actually said exactly that" and "See I was right" simultaneously.

Its crafty word play that accomplished its goal. Got us all talking about it. Its Eklund but with a known face. That's what rumour speculation has become nowadays.

I think its more of saying he is like Coleman in terms of the role he can play and whatnot. Coleman was hyper valuable because of the contract, which Lehkonen doesn’t have.

Seravalli didnt wrote Lehkonen is worth a 1st+ at all. He compared his situation to Coleman, not his value. Read the source.
