Why would STL trade the goalie that has been better for basically nothing? Why would Columbus trade there newly named captian?

Delete the Jenner trade. He’s the captain and signed for 4 more years. Plus even if he wasn’t. This isn’t enough.

It makes no sense, but look at that St Louis trade again... a 1st + a good prospect for their pending UFA backup?? That's a ridiculous overpay... St. Louis could turn around and send those exact assets to Chicago for MAF with 50% retained.

Massive overpay for Husso (who the Blues have no interest in trading), massive overpay for Miller (who is a poor man's Tyson Barrie). CLB doesn't even answer the phone with that offer, and I like Samorukov.

First of all, Tullio is not a good prospect. He's tiny and not nearly as good a skater as he would need to be at his size. More importantly, the Blues are trying to win now. They are not going to shed a goalie who might just be their #1 by the end of the season if things hold, just to help a conference rival they might need to face in the West final.

Oh, I know the Blues aren't interested in moving him, but that's a massive overpay even if we disagree on Tullio's upside. No backup goalie with fewer than 30 games of NHL experience ever went for a mid-1st plus. Ever.

If Edmonton is willing to pay that price for a pure rental, they should go straight to Chicago and ask about MAF.

If Edmonton would be willing (which they arent) to pay that for Husso than the Blues would be stupid not to accept that regardless of their position. Tullio is not a good prospect, but a 1st for Husso is more than what Brian Elliott got (upper 2nd) and he has a bigger track record than Husso does now.
