Description
According to Seravalli some teams see Lehk as this year's Blake Coleman, Coleman got a 1st and Nolan Foote at the deadline two seasons ago.
Frank Seravalli: “I know at least 3 teams that are begging the Montreal Canadiens to get Artturi Lehkonen.”

The big difference is Coleman had 2 years left at $1.8M, and Lehkonen has one year left at $2.3M and will be looking for a raise. I'm not sure that's the best comparison, nor do I think it's wise for teams to trade a big package for him.

He needs to lay off the weed. Coleman played all forward slots, hit everyone, killed penalties, scored 20, had term.

Comparing those 2 are like comparing hockey to figure skating.

Just to be clear. When he says he could this years Coleman he’s talking about the versatility of the player, not the trade value

They used this same description for players at last years deadline too

Avs were interested in him for a while so they would be one of those teams

Coleman’s trade value was derived from his contract. Two years at 1.8. Same can’t be said here. Not a shot there’s a similar return.

Coleman also had 21 goals and 30+ points, at the deadline, lehkonen has 5 goals and 15 points. Unless he goes on a goal scoring bender no one is looking at giving me up what Coleman got for him

I'd be surprised if it was toronto, the Mikheyev/Engvall - Kampf - Kase checking line has been very effective

Also lehky is an RFA after this year. Lehky is very similar to coleman in all ways. He gets a 1st and 2nd round caliber prospect. Which is less than colemam got.

On your playstation maybe, in real life no. BOS doesn’t trade with MTL, Tampa doesn’t have the cap space and a pretty set. Florida are ok, the other teams you listed are possibilities

Boston could and habs could it's not a rule and nothing would stop them from trading. If habs retain tampa has enough cap. You could say the same thing in 2019 when they traded for coleman and goodrow. They didn't necessarily need them but they still acquired them. I think with both of them gone there are 2 holes on their 3rd line, lehky would be a perfect fit there.

They wouldn’t have the money to resign him …
No it’s not a rule but MTL & BOS literally never trade together
They won’t start now

This is a delusional take that rivals that of sharks fans right now. No, not all the habs players are getting a huge haul, especially the ones that suck.

Ohhh, is, “lehky,” (puke) very similar to Coleman in all ways?
Except contract
And term
And how good he is at hockey
And offensive production
And defensive ability

From what I have seen, nowhere did Serravalli talked about similar return for the 2 players. He only brought up that Lehkonen could be a TDL pick up usefull for a couple of long playoff runs like Coleman.

The rumors sites stretched that to get more clicks. How surprising...

Habs would be lucky to get a high 2nd for Lehkonen...

If we want to compare a trade, it's not with Coleman but with Janmark. That would be 2+3 with 50% retained

Same cap hit, age, points, GP for a good playoff performer.

Its wild how they just tried to pivot that into something else, I had to relisten to that clip a few times to make sure I didnt miss anything.
Lehkonen has value but hes not a goal scorer who can play all positions like Coleman like.

People wont like the comparison but Lehkonen is not really that far off from Tyson Jost...guys who work hard, good the PK and are sound defesnively. Jost has 5 goals and 11 points as a bottom 6 defensive player. Lehkonen has 5 goals and 15 points moon lighting in the top 6 but is a bottom 6 defensive winger.

Last season Jost has 7 goals and 17 points, Lehkonen had 7 goals and 13 points. Like I said they are not that dissimilar but no one is going to give a 1st and a prospect for Jost

A 2nd and mid level prospect is what I see Lehkonen returning at the most

The question asked to him was: who on the canadiens has the biggest demand, which means best offers, Seraveili answered that ths player is arturri lehkonen. We already know chiarot is worth a 1st and 3rd, so what's more than that? A 1st and 2nd! I agree he didn't say he'll get the same as coleman but he said Lehkonen is the best sought after therefore he is going ro get more than chiarot. I hope that was clear.

no biggest demand does not mean best offer, it means who would teams want the most

and you do not know that chiarot is worth that....you can say that is what the canadiens are goign to ask for him or would like to get back for him, doesnt mean teams will want to give you that.
