Description
I don't like to make predictions midway through the season but I think the Pens are winning the cup this year. There's just not a major weakness on the team, and they are the perfect puck-possession team. They have good neutral zone structure, relentless forecheck and speed to compliment the elite talents on the team.

I wish TOR played with the same courage as this team, they just don't have the desire or mentality.

Tbh, I could've kept Zucker but I do wonder if a change of scenery will be good for him. He is on paper a great fit for the team, he just can't catch a break.

Your forgetting goal tending. Bob has been excellent and knight has been ok. That tandem is better than jarry and desmith 100%. There defense is fine and the offense is lethal and could embarrass teams

I think once PIT finds a better backup than DeSmith, they will be the best team in the NHL.

You are also forgetting about the powerhouse avalanche. They are top 10. Not the best

Just quick it dude. It’s a really really really poorly thought out idea. Hall at his worst is better than zucker at his best. Zucker and Coyle haven’t played together for a long long time. They’re both completely different players.

The bruins didn’t break up any lines to get hall going. The moved things around to try to balance their lineup. It worked. Really well.

Bruins don’t want zucker under any circumstances, ever.
Bruins want hall, they just traded for him and signed him.
Hall has no trade protection. He wants to be in Boston, badly.

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Thanks for the insight. Tbh the narrative here in Toronto was that no one was interested in Hall at the deadline, and BUF begged BOS to take him. That’s why his trade return was so low. I just wonder if Hall’s played out his welcome in BOS cuz he no longer has an elite C to feed him the puck.

I know it may not be true but it’s what a lot of TOR fans in my Twitter mentions believed.

Soooo you’re trusting maple leafs fans on twitter as a news source? Thats utterly absurd.

Credible reporting stated the opposite. Leafs fans were bitter that they couldn’t get hall and wound up giving up more for foligno. Duh.

Yeah I didn't consider that, maybe a lot of TOR fans were salty that they got Foligno who stunk instead of Hall.

Credible reports made it seem like Hall really used his full NMC to get to boston. Apparently the bruins were in contract negotiations with hall but couldn’t make the cap work. They almost made it sound like it was the plan. Just shy of admitting tampering.

Thanks for the insight. TBH, I feel like a lot of people don't like Hall and a lot of big name media people were talking about how he'd have a detrimental impact to his team before he went to BOS. So I guess with this narrative it was easy to believe what Leaf fans suggested.

I just think BOS has had to make a lot of accommodations to get Hall to play at an elite level, like they broke up the perfection line. So that’s why I wonder if it’s more worth it for them to acquire Zucker who knows how to play with Coyle.

You think wrong.

Coyle is centering the 3rd line with Debrusk and Steen and they have been really good together.

Since breaking up the top line they have gone 10-2 and have more balanced scoring top to bottom.

Boston is the last place Zucker will end up. Cap and roster makeup prohibits it even if the desire was there. It isn’t.

Florida had a better start than PIT but I don’t feel confident about their defence.

Compared to Pittsburgh’s it’s light years better
