Let the kid have the entire year off at a minimum. 3 concussions in his 37 game career is not good for his health. COL needs to force him to shutdown at least until the start of next season. It's not the fun hockey move, but it's for his own health.

I can see Turcotte in a trade for girard.

A swap of Girard for Roy makes a lot of sense, not sure the value difference is equal to Turcotte though. Maybe Vilardi if LA is starting to give up on him, but even then the kid kills it in the AHL so there's bound to be something at the NHL level.

I think LA would have to add more than just Roy but I also think Roy is very underrated and the fact the right handed defenceman are more valuable definitely balances the deal a bit more, but the idea is definitely there.

Also, whenever Byram gets healthy (I agree with above that it's best to shut him down for the year) - that's a hell of a top 4 to go up against in the regular season. Idk if it's the playoff type of defence you want, but Colorado would be in the conversation for the President's trophy every year they had it

LA isn't ready to trade Roy yet. His potential replacements aren't NHL ready. Maybe at the deadline next season.

Swap Roy for Walker and the Kings might consider it, as Walker has been made expendable by Sean Durzi.

I agree. A C like Turcotte/Vilardi would be more of a need in the off-season when Kadri walks than now. And Inthe off-season the situation with Byram will be clearer too. Plus we will have seen Girard in the playoffs again..
