lol I was thinking about this the other day, it would be cool to see Draisaitl and Stutzle together. I think Drai would probably be the one at LW though, Stutzle has been significantly better at C than LW, while Draisaitl seems to be just as good regardless of where he plays. I think the package I have in my drafts is Norris+Pinto+C. Brown+Brannstrom+JBD+2022 2nd+Merilainen, conditional on the Sens winning the draft lottery and landing Wright. I think it probably works for both sides tbh, although Edmonton would be looking at a run in 23-24 rather than next year. Reunites C. Brown and McDavid while giving them a solid 1-2-3 up the middle, 2 good young D (Brannstrom-JBD is a good 2nd pair), and Merilainen is better than most, if not all of their goalie prospects. I don't think Ottawa is gonna consider moving Batherson when he's on such a nice deal (not many stars stick around, you've gotta keep the guys you've given big money to and that agreed to stay for 6 years). Zub is iffy, I don't think they really want to move him because moving him definitely pushes back the Sens window, because both Thomson and JBD need to A) be in the lineup and B) turn out to be top 4 D for Zub to be expendable. There's no shot Ottawa gives up two RD in the deal regardless though (and I'm not a big fan of Mayfield, and Manson might not want to come here, nor is he better than Zub imo). Regardless it's hopefully a significant enough of an overpay to get the deal done (your package and mine are both much better than the Eichel package [who also had 5 years left vs. 3], and I really don't think Draisaitl is that far ahead of Eichel on his own merit, I think I had them as the 5th/6th best centres a year ago, and would probably rank them at 4/8-9 now, although Eichel will probably bounce back when healthy). All of this is contingent on Draisaitl explicitly requesting a trade this summer though of course.
