Thoughts on the Trades

Description
Reasons for Trades in the order as follows:

1. Good for future chemistry of the team if both Raty brothers are NHL capable

2. Dermott and Mayfield have very similar contracts and very similar play styles. Age would be the only difference. If I was to put a pick in the trade it would be a 4th or 5th

3. Palmieri, while chemistry is good with the team, obviously cannot play to his full capability in the system the Islanders have. With that, I believe that a prospect from Buffalo & two late draft picks could be included in a trade with Palmieri

4. Honestly this trade can be given to any team, but honestly Aho could work better in a different playing system, and Dal Colle has never succeeded in our system

Sometime during the season, Barzal will sign an extension (63m x 7yrs), as well as Wahlstrom (15m x 3yrs)

Mayfield has a goals for percentage of 30%. For a defensive defenceman, he gets scored on a lot.

It cost the Islanders 2 seconds to move Ladd off of the roster.
Ladd (two years remaining on a $5,500,000 salary) has 5 goals and 8 pts in 31 games this year.
Palmieri (three years, plus the balance of this year, remaining on a $5,000,000 salary) has 1 goal and 7 pts in 25 games this year.
As stupid as Adams has been (a second for Hall and third for Montour), Karmanos would choke him before letting Kevyn trade any assets for Kyle.
Send us your 2022 first and second to consider this, Kyle is more of a dump than Andrew.

Disagree. Ladd had many injuries and was never going to get ice time. He also was terrible in the time he did have in NY. Palmieri is still a bounce back candidate. If next year he scored 20 goals would you really be so shocked? I wouldnt. But i would if you told me ladd scored 20. He does have an extra year its true but palmieri has a very buyout friendly deal.
That said like i wrote before, at this time palmieri will not be getting any assets back as hes a cap dump.
