Okay, chill... Aho is the best player from the McDavid draft not named McDavid. You can put him in this deal in place of Svechnikov, sure... but both? That's just ridiculous.

I mean thats incorrect because Eichel is better than Aho. Even then the gap between McDavid and whoever is #2 from that draft is still the size of the Grand Canyon. I would say McDavid is easily worth both

Aho > Eichel, easy.... trying to argue that right now is just dumb.

He's the best player from that draft by some distance, but he's not worth both. He's worth 1 and a LOT, but he's not worth 2 PPG players.

I mean he's literally pacing 1.5 points per game, and thats with only getting 1 point since the beginning of January (mind you that's 4 games). This is all pointless anyways since he's not getting traded, Its just not worth trying to argue with your bias

He's not scored in his last 8 home games... first time since he was a rookie. He's scored 1 whole point this calendar year. He's Connor McDavid, but this is a Connor McDavid with diminished value. Especially if he demands out.

Ok 1. I dont live in Alberta and never have so its not a local bias thing by me
2. I hate the Oilers so me saying McDavid is worth both those players easily is again not a bias towards him
3. Carolina is like my 3rd favourite team, so if anything I should be biased towards them.

So now your entire notion is based on him demanding a trade. Which you haven't mentioned once. Also how does 1 point in 4 games diminish his value substantially?

I mean, @ledge_and_dairy and @caniac2000, Given the frequency with which he was valued as one of the greatest prospects of all time here a couple of years ago, you're clearly both wrong...Jeremy Bracco was obviously the best player not named McDavid from that draft. He obviously just never got a fair shake.

Hard disagree. coming off an unprecedented back surgery in a new market where he's struggled compared to Aho who's the definition of health, FAR better defensively, and on 100 point pace again.

That's fair. If Eichel never returns to 100% then I would mostly agree with you. But if Eichel is 100% then I think he is better. Granted Aho has always been surrounded with a better supporting cast and that deserves consideration.

Eichel had a 40 goal scorer on his wing, something Aho has never had.

This is literally the worst time to be making a case for Eichel's value. Literally before his back died, or after his return would make so much sense, right now... I don't think any sane person would take Eichel over Aho.
