Dallas Rebuild - Serious Overhaul

Créé par: CallMeChristie
Date de création initiale: 19 janv. 2022
Publié: 19 janv. 2022
Équipe: 2021-22 Stars de Dallas
Explications
Fire Coaching Staff and Jim Nill - Will be shipping players off and remaining players will need a fresh face in the locker room and will allow remaining players to take a more leadership role Ie Heiskanen and Robertson.

Tried to keep it as Realistic as I can imagine it would, believe these moves would make all teams and players involved happy.

Dallas gets younger, and much needed cap space for future signings, while keeping the Captain (he would be so hard to move realistically with his cap hit and point production of late), and three first rounders in 2023 for a chance at Bedard or Michov.
Transactions
1.
DAL
  1. Tippett, Owen
  2. Denisenko, Grigori
  3. 2023 1e round pick (FLA)
Détails additionnels:
Tippett has been scratched of late after only 11 points in 33 games, having trouble moving up the line-up
Denisenko is a AHL prospect who I believe the Panthers would part with in lieu of a deep playoff run with Pavelski
FLA
  1. Pavelski, Joe (3 500 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
Pavelski gets probably his last shot at a Cup, playing on a line with either Barkov, or Huberdeau pushing down wither Reinhart or Bennett, can be that net front guy and another leader with Playoff Experience
2.
DAL
  1. Bear, Ethan
  2. 2023 1e round pick (CAR)
Détails additionnels:
Bear a secondary offensive defense gets a chance to play after being scratched amidst the strong defensive line-up, but with the chance to upgrade to Klingberg (Which the Hurricanes have shown interest in) I believe they will pull the trigger
CAR
  1. Klingberg, John (2 125 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
Klingberg gets the chance to show his worth in a system that suits his offensive nature a bit more before his free agency in the summer, and gives Carolina another Playoff ready defensive so they can make a deep run
3.
DAL
  1. 2023 2e round pick (PHI)
Buffalo needs a stable goalie to solve their goalie struggle, get a goalie who is having a bounce back year.

Earlier in the season there was rumors of Buffalo giving a third rounder this year for Khudobin, but with their recent struggles and the chance to get a better goalie, they may be willing to upgrade to a second in a year where they have a surplus of seconds.
BUF
  1. Holtby, Braden
Détails additionnels:
Holtby has been having a great year so far and deserves a shot to show he can be a steady starter for a team, not just a goalie who splits time.
4.
DAL
  1. 2022 4e round pick (WSH)
Washington may want a quick defensive minded 4th line with some playoff offensive upside going into what may be their last playoff's for a couple years, plus only giving up a 4th for 1mil may seem profitable for a player who can also play up in the lineup
WSH
  1. Kiviranta, Joel
Détails additionnels:
Dallas sheds an old system player (after firing the coaching staff) and gives Kivi another shot at playoffs after his explosive hattrick vs the Avs to steal that series.
5.
DAL
  1. Barron, Justin
  2. Maltsev, Mikhail
Détails additionnels:
This would give the Avs a strong 4th line center with known playoff and faceoff success who can also kill penalties. They are giving up a defensive prospect who they do not need with their 4 d-man core turning into a dynasty already, and a roster player for cap space.
COL
  1. Glendening, Luke
Détails additionnels:
Dallas gets a defensive prospect they need and gives Glendening a shot at playoff success with the Avs.
6.
DAL
  1. 2022 3e round pick (MIN)
The Wild have been strong up front this season, but may want added depth for their playoff run
MIN
  1. Raffl, Michael
Détails additionnels:
Raffl gets his next shot at playoff since his lack-luster success with the Capitals last year to show he can play back at his 5p in 9g run with the Flyers
7.
DAL
  1. Hájek, Libor
  2. Kravtsov, Vitali
  3. 2023 1e round pick (NYR)
  4. 2022 2e round pick (NYR)
Détails additionnels:
This is part of a 3 way trade between Arizona, Dallas and New York. This is the trade that may be harder to see as realistic.

New York is getting Seguin who after his knee surgery is slowly starting to up his point production, but moving to a playoff ready team who is desperately in need of depth scoring.

New York is giving up a player who does not want to play for them and a scratched defenseman who is looking for a fresh start elsewhere.

Hajek is going to Arizona plus the first for Kessel.
NYR
  1. Seguin, Tyler (985 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
Dallas sheds much needed cap space for future signings in Hintz, Robertson and Gurianov.

They are getting a second in this deal and facilitating the transition of Kessel to the Rangers.

Dallas is giving a second to Arizona, plus Lindell, and Jordan Kawaguchi (and the facilitation of the New York's side of the trade) for Jakob Chychrun
8.
DAL
  1. Chychrun, Jakob
  2. Kessel, Phil (3 400 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
This is part of a 3 way trade between Arizona, Dallas and New York. This is the trade that may be harder to see as realistic.

Arizona is getting a defensive replacement for Chychrun (who apparently may want out of Arizona) in Lindell, plus a young defensemen in Hajek to replace Stralman come next season. They are also getting a AHL prospect who may be able to crack the roster next season in Kawaguchi, PLUS they are getting even more picks which they want. Giving them another first for next year (better chance at Bedard or Michov) and another second next year to offset the 5 second rounders they have now.

They are committing to the tank by shedding Kessel.
ARI
  1. Lindell, Esa
  2. Hájek, Libor
  3. Kawaguchi, Jordan
  4. 2023 1e round pick (NYR)
  5. 2023 2e round pick (PHI)
Détails additionnels:
Dallas gets a defenseman looking for a change of scenery and who could play extremely well together (in my mind Chychrun and Heiskanen's playstyle would fit so well together)
9.

    DAL
    1. DeBrusk, Jake
    2. 2022 5e round pick (BOS)
    Détails additionnels:
DeBrusk get's moved to a new team where he can be a second line player (getting more icetime like he wants)
    BOS
    1. Radulov, Alexander (3 125 000 $ retained)
    2. 2022 4e round pick (DAL)
    Détails additionnels:
Radulov gets another chance to be a sniper on a third/second line in a Boston system that is a bit more his style of play, believe he would mesh well with Bruce Cassidy

Picks to allow Boston to move up in a late round, to offset the initial point differences between Radulov and DeBrusk

    - Too much for Pavelski.
    - Not enough for Klingberg
    - Colorado isn’t giving up Barron for Glendening
    - Seguin’s contract makes him nearly impossible to move & really hurts his value when you look at his production. He’s not nearly as valuable as you have him here

Canes pass. We could use those assets to upgrade a more critical area, 2LW. Klingberg, while the Canes have shown interest, won’t move the needle much. And Bear has been scratched because of lingering Covid effects. I would still take Bear over Klingberg right now, and use that first in an area of actual need. Canes don’t necessarily need another dman right now. They need a 2LW and possibly a backup goalie with less injury history than Raanta, and only then they might consider Klingberg.

Too much for Pavelski, maybe you get the 1st and Tippet. Seguin isn’t getting that kind of return and that Chychrun offer gets beat.

Pass on Klingberg rental with a first. Despite another poster saying it isn’t enough, he us having a really bad D year, one of his worst. Isn’t worth it

Buffalo just waits until the off-season to sign holtby. Not giving up a second for 3 months then he walks. That doesn’t make any sense.

I like the work you put in for this post. A lot of us could see a blow up of sorts possibly playing out. The team looks good even if the values are off. Value is relative. It’s hard to know the needs of every team. Good job even if people give you chit.
