Description
Sign Kuzmenko. Draft Wright/Kemell/Lambert Savoie. Prosper.

Lots of cap space to resign Kuzmenko, Zub and Jimmy. Don’t mind Riding Murray out but could package some picks to move White or Zaitsev as well.

Id love connor brown but Savoie is the equivalent of a first round pick right now. He is nominated for the Hobey Baker.

some good proposals here , the returns for players for at TDL look close draft pick wise . I can't see AZ parting with Hayton for Mete and a 3rd . I like the FLA deal for Ottawa but suspect the 4th would not be included . Also thinking the term and AAV for Formenton is a bit steep , as much as I like him.

Brown needs to play in 14 out of the remaining 43 games. Doable but a lot of that depends on the rest of the Blues roster staying healthy

I'm hoping someone is willing to give a late 2nd with half his salary retained but honestly I'd even be open to a 3rd. He's a serviceable player and can hold down a bottom 6 role. I saw a Rangers fan do Tierney 50% retained for a 2nd and Georgiev's rights a couple days ago but that seemed like overkill. Ottawa's not bringing him back so if the market says 3rd then that's fine as well. The Rangers top 6 looks pretty solid but I think theres a place for Tierney in the bottom 6.

Yeah thats completely fair, saw this trade done by a couple Leafs fans over the last week or so. I don't dislike Ritchie but obviously he's making too much money and is signed for another year. If the deal doesnt happen thats fine but I don't think Ottawa would want to pick him up for less than that late 3rd.

Also how did you get the 300k for the buyout? When I put it through the simulator it spat out 1 216 667 on his buyout.

Yeah I hear you, honestly looking back now there's definitely a place for Brannstrom in the top 6 next year and he's obviously been playing great the last couple games. Paul on the other hand is tricky, I'd love to keep him but depending on the money and term that he's asking for it might make more sense to move on from him. Alternatively, either of them could be removed from the trade but Ottawa would have to cough some picks up.

Tippett would be a great add. Top 6 right shot RW is something the team's been looking at adding for a while now and if Connor Brown does get moved then there's a hole that hopefully Tippett could elevate to and fill. I know his game isnt overly physical but if Brannstrom was moved then this is the type of swap that I think would benefit the team.

Id love connor brown but Savoie is the equivalent of a first round pick right now. He is nominated for the Hobey Baker.

Yeah he's looked great. Would be really cool if Ottawa could bring him in and then draft his brother top 5 this year too. Maybe Ottawa adds a 4th or even a 3rd to even it out?

Was using the Blake Coleman trade as reference. Both had an extra year left on their deal at 1.8m. Coleman went for a 1st (20th overall) and Nolan Foote (27th overall in 2019) so Brown for a 1st and Savoie is similar apart from Savoie looking a million times better than Foote, despite being a 4th rounder. Is there anyone else (please dont say Lavoie) you think would make sense to replace Savoie? There aren't really any other prospects that I think would make a ton of sense...

Ty tullio or somebody like that. Savoie is an edmonton kid and exactly what they need I cant see them trading him.

some good proposals here , the returns for players for at TDL look close draft pick wise . I can't see AZ parting with Hayton for Mete and a 3rd . I like the FLA deal for Ottawa but suspect the 4th would not be included . Also thinking the term and AAV for Formenton is a bit steep , as much as I like him.

Do you think AZ would do it for a late 2nd like NYR did with Andersson last year? I think the two of them have a lot of parallels between draft positions, bit of AHL success along with their wjc captaincies and NHL struggles. If so I'd be open to moving the TB or NYR 2nd for him 1 for 1. I know he's struggled a lot but there's space for him in Ottawa.

I would say they hang on to him and hopefully he comes into camp healthy next year and shows he has game. He seems to be constantly coming back from nagging injuries which is tough when you are trying to crack a lineup. If Chychrun gets moved he could be included in that, I can see teams wanting to take a chance on him. If Ottawa could land him I think it would be a good gamble.

Yeah Tullio was front of mind, Petrov is the only other one that makes any sense too but I'm not sure if Ottawa pulls the trigger on him. Hopefully there's a way Edmonton and Ottawa can make it work!
