No it is not a good offer. Any offer for Severson at 50% retained starts with a first and one of your better prospects.

Abramov and KK aren't really NHL prospects. A retained Severson is worth more than Holl and a second. Not saying the Leafs should offer more but some team will.

I mean leafs have to move someone out to be under the cap and jersey would be taking back holl just to have another defencemen.

Starting point for Severson should be the Muzzin trade. A good prospect, a C prospect and a 1st. If there's retention, add from there.

I agree with that statement but really the trade is a retained Severson for Holl and a second. Jersey can do better. And really should the Leafs go any higher? Holl is the Leafs 2nd pair RHD. 20 minutes a night against the best lines and kills PK. Is Severson putting the Leafs over the top?

The difference between the player Muzzin was and Severson is is minor. The difference in cost between a LHD and RHD makes up for it.

not really minor, these players on bad teams will always get the benefit of the doubt, severson gets a bump because of the rhd i agree with that, but hes still not what muzzin was
