Description

I think this is what will happen during the trade deadline.

Stars are looking to trade Klingberg and we need RD badly. I think Copp along with one of Schmidt or Dillon would be added here. The pick may not be needed, I don't know Klingberg's value.

Also, Stanley needs to go. Man causes way too many turnovers that result in goals scored against us. I don't watch many Blues games, but when I do, I don't see much of a physical presence. Stanley brings a lot of physicality to the table and he can solve this issue. In return they give Kostin. We need RW badly.

While I think this is definitely the way to go, moving Schmidt + to upgrade our top pairing RD, Klingberg is reportedly looking for an 8x8 contract this summer…. So, no thanks on him, unless he’s willing to sign cheaper at shorter term… 6yrs x 6M is the max I’d be comfortable with… and even that’s pushing it

As for Stanley, maybe him to SEA for Appleton would work

I actually didn't know that. Thanks for the extra info, all I heard is that the Stars are looking for trade options involving Klingberg.

Dallas would be looking for more to trade Klingberg in division and the Jets don't have the cap spaceto sign him long term. The Blues trade is just bad for the Jets. Winnipeg can't afford to trade a good, young defenseman they need for a 4th liner that doesn't do anything for the Jets.

We need a top 4 LD. Whether Stanley is a top 4 d-man is another question

The Jets just need to get healthy and their **** together. If they can't by trade deadline then sell. Schmidt, Dillion, DeMelo, and Copp would be on my list and probably add Statsny.

Well if they haven't gotten their **** together by now its doubtful that they will, to me this core just isn't working and it's time for a bigger structural change, they really seem like they're more then just one or two tweaks/guys away from being a true contender.
