Description
Load up for this playoff run and for next year. We trade our 2 best prospects and a 1st but get an elite centre/winger at half price for this year and next and we upgrade our defence for this year and next with Mayfield. Chara is for added vet depth and size for a long playoff run. He would be 7th or 8th defencemen.

Bunting is on the 4th line for now which is fine. If anyone is stuggling or any injuries he moves back up. This line up is gross.

I don't think this is necessary and could harm the team chemistry. He'd also sulk about not being the main guy on the PP since he'd be dropped to the 2nd unit.

1st + top prospect. I assume there would need to be at least 1 more b prospect.

Canucks aren't good haha and Miller is up after next year. I don't see them being competitve next year either. Hence trading Miller may be a good option for them.

It’s gonna cost more than that. Ritchie is a cap dump. By retaining on Miller and taking in Ritchie, we wouldn’t even be saving any money so there isn’t much incentive to do this

They're a good team, and it's more likely than not that they will be competitive next year and a legit playoff contender, they aren't going to retain salary if they trade Miller

Issue here is Rodin isn't a top prospect. He's a 20yr old with pedestrian numbers in the KHL. He's a decent prospect but a long ways from a top prospect.

Canucks could get more for Miller. The guy has been playing at PPG pace for third seasons now, he can play in the center or on the wing, on PP and PK, he has an excellent contract. Maybe Toronto doesn't even have that high level prospect to get Miller.

Just because a player is playing bad doesn't mean he's a cap dump - this site really needs to learn that.

His low AAV and low term don't make him one and if you look at how his contract is structured, he's most definitely not a cap dump. He can be bought out after this season for virtually nothing so it won't cost any significant assets to move him if Toronto was looking at it.

A combination of Robertson/Niemala/Liljegren along with a 1st and maybe a 2nd/3rd needs to be on the table to start working out an offer

I kind of figured Jt Miller would be worth a roster player (who's obviously not as good as Miller), a solid prospect and a 1st pick. Retention would be probably and extra 3rd pick.

If you all remember, Kerfoot had some BRUTAL injuries when he 1st arrived. He is now been healthy and has been playing great all this season, the end of last season and of course the playoffs. I diaagree with the person above who said Amirov was a poor prospect or whatever. He's a rookie on a KHL team. They don't give playing time. 6'0" 180 lbs creative forward is the one I would prefer to keep over Robertson.

I still contend that Kerfoot, Amirov and 2023 1st Rd Pick is a painful price for the Leafs but should get it done. A 3rd Rd Pick to a 3rd team (like Detroit) for retaining 50%.

That wouldn't get it done. Kerfoot doesn't do much of anything for the nucks as he's turning 28 this year. Amirov is okay but he's not an A prospect and everyone would expect that 1st to be a late 1st rounder. There is no pressure on the Canucks to move him this season and I guarantee they would get many better offers than that over the course of the next year.
