Evans probably wont be traded, he's young, just signed and extension, and if one of the few guys on our NHL roster who works hard consistenly, personally i wouldn't move Lehkonen either but that's probably bias, a 1st for both is decent value as they're both younger, one with term, and wouldn't cost tons of cap

Lehkonen and Evans are not worth 2 2nds each, meanwhile Petry’s value is at an all time low, Hoffman essentially has negative value, so what makes you think those two + Lehkonen gets you Fabbro PLUS Kunin PLUS a 1st round pick? You need a Solid RD and Petry would bring a lot of offense and minutes... Who do you want to gives...Myers or Fabbro?
In another team Petry would fetch a 1st, middle NHL D + Good prospect alone...

Teams are not looking on what Petry brought the last 10-15games... but the last 2-3 years and YES he should get a great return for him if MTL decide to let him go.

Yes imagine a 34 year old defenseman performing horribly signed for 3 more years at 6M. Sounds like someone with little value! I agree he has been great the last 2-3 years, but with how he’s performed this year his value is likely at a low point

It's not that Kunin is worth so much to NSH. He's a nice middle six forward who doesn't seem to have reached his full potential yet. The least valuable of him, Fabbro or a 1st, but still a solid player. The issue is Hoffman and Petry are both over 30, in apparent decline, and saddled with bad contracts. I wouldn't give Petry ice time over any of NSH's other defensemen these days (and Hoffman and Lehkonen don't have a place with the Preds either).
