I think they might need to trade Sprong while he still has decent value. A lot of media blame will go to Lavs for this, but Sprong has been god awful the past few games. The worst one was watching him against the Devils. He and Eller were hot garbage, and had I not been in the stadium, I would have been cheering when they kept him and Eller off the ice. I'd much rather have Leason or Protas taking those minutes until he gets his **** together.

Something needs to get the team out of its recent funk, and perhaps a mid-level trade would get it done. However, I don't think it is Pavelski. I love the guy, and it would be great to see him in DC, but from what I've seen, he doesn't want to leave Dallas.

Huge overpay for a 37 year old rental. Hard pass by the Caps. They could use the same package and find a younger, longer termed player.

Everyone has been terrible the past few games and trading Sprong is a mistake because he has decent production this year even though Lav doesn’t want to give him more ice time. He is very talented and is pretty good when you watch him play, his skating is fast, his hands are great, he is a beast on breakaways and has a hell of a shot. He is exactly what this team needs, young, fast, and hungry. We don’t need to trade youth and picks for a 37 year old rental the only thing we should be spending on at the trade deadline is a goalie like holtby

Who do you have in mind

Maybe I'm seeing more negatives, but I've thought hes not been great the whole year. His offense is decent enough but I have been less than impressed with his defense. I'd love for him to prove me wrong and explode for the rest of the year.

Bring Holtby back instead
