Sheary has played quite well, no reason to trade him especially for that little return.

Ottawa trade is horrifyingly bad, Brown is not a need with the wing depth Washington has, and paying Vanecek AND a 1st rounder is far too much.

Fleury isn't possible with the cap space Washington has, unless hagelin goes back. Even then, Samsonov and Vanecek aren't going to be benched, and Samsonov is certainly not being benched for Fucale.

As for lines, I'll just rattle these off real quick: Kuzy is the 1C not Backstrom, Cholowski is horrible and wouldn't be starting, Fehervary is our top LD with Orlov 2nd pairing, Jensen is played ahead of Schultz, Hathaway is very good this year and would play the 4RW over Sgarbossa, McMichael should get more time on ice, Fucale would not be kept in the NHL over Samsonov, Mantha would be ahead of Oshie on the 2nd line.

To top all this off, there is no room on the team for any scratches, the Taxi squad won't be a strategy after the ASG, and the team is still over the cap even after all this.

He is not better than Ovi, Oshie, Wilson, or Mantha.
