Taxi squad lets them travel with 3 and send a scratch down to bring a 3rd onto the roster.

I'd love to see Ullmark waive his NMC, move him and Debrusk to bring in some added help for playoff push. Swayman mentoring under Rask would be great and he's plenty capable to be staying in the NHL. Ullmark, Debrusk, Senyshyn, Moore, and put some picks up available. Find a 2nd center or a top 4 dman.

Thought the rules were different for goaltenders to prevent emergency backups with covid protocols. Apparently not!

Yes, but doesn't help if you're on the road.
You basically have to pass a goaltender through waivers, where they go unclaimed, and then they can be assigned to the taxi squad. You can't use it for waiver exempt players. (Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, I only took a quick glance.)

Guess we'll see some college/beer-leaguers/Zamboni experts get signed by 'out-of-towners' if injuries/plague sets in!!
