That's a fair offer for JK and Rads.

U sure? I felt bad playing McMichael on the 3rd line with not enough talent?

Fun times on adding Klinberg, but that extension...I'd put the over/under on a buyout of that contract right around the midpoint of the contract.

For sure, I just think that's massive money considering the comparables that have been signing in the $6.5 range (Or Rielly at $7.5, but I'd take him > Klingberg any day of the week).

Oh lord. The capitals already have their version of Klingberg with Carlson, and I can’t support an idea where you are paying a 2RD at 8 x 8. That cap situation come next year would be truly and royally f**ked

I think they need help on the 2nd pair especially someone who can carry it . Let me try another scenario instead

I don’t think 2nd pairing is a big need. Orlov and Jensen have been amazing on the 2nd pairing, and are arguably the best D pair the Capitals have at the moment. Getting Klingberg for one year isn’t the worst idea (though I don’t know if Washington should give up what it takes to get him), but extending him would pretty much buy tickets straight out of DC for either Orlov or Jensen (or both?) come the next off-season, when Feh gets a new deal.

8 Mil for Klingberg makes no sense. Similar to the Sharks with Burns and Karlsson having 2 #1 RHD that should be PP Qbs and getting top minutes but one playing behind each other is dumb. Keeping Schultz at like 2-3 million or bringing in another PP2 QB for way cheaper seems like the way better move

It’s risky, but I do have a bit of faith in Jensen as a PP2 defenseman. He’s been real good this year and I think he could benefit from PP ice time. Orlov could also work when Schultz likely leaves this year

I dont think Jensen has the point shot to be on PP2 and Orlov is a lefty which does not work as well with our setup up top. He has no 1T threat on a pass from the halfwall, Schultz last year was the best PP2 guy weve had since Wideman was there with Green on PP1, I think they try and get another right shot again if schultz doesnt turn it around this year

Maybe Washington can bring back Schultz on a much cheaper deal, I liked him when he was with TVR, but it’s been chaos this last month or so and thus I’m not sure how well it will work when they get linked back up.

As for Jensen, I worry a bit about his point shot, but I think he can bring a bit of a different look than normal, which might throw off opposing teams. I also quite like his wrister, which I think could be a good change of pace from Ovi’s one-timer.
