Détails additionnels:
Yzerman makes another hockey tradein the 2022 offseason to balance left/right shot forwards on the team. Giving up Vrana and Zadina provides the team with a scoring right shot threat.
VAN
  1. Vrána, Jakub
  2. Zadina, Filip [Droits de RFA]
Détails additionnels:
Kings underperform in 2022 and miss the playoffs. New team President/GM Rutherford has a resigning Boeser due to cap space, so he makes a trade to get a similar cost-controlled, scoring threat in Vrana as well as a former 1st round pick in Zadina with potential. Rutherford also has to resign captain and center Bo Horvat next season, so that makes the resigning of Boeser with a significant raise/cap hit even more difficult to take on this year.

I agree they would rather keep Boeser, but giving him a raise to approximately $7 million or even tendering him this year, putting off his longterm contract to next year will be tough. They have to to resign Bo Horvat at a significant raise (probably close to $7.5 to $8 million) and term next year. They will have no cap space to do both especially over the long term. Horvat is more important to the team long term, and he's at a more important position: center.

Boeser gets injured too much for my liking. I'd rather keep Vrana. I'm open to trading Zadina.

Why are you so quick to give up on Zadina? He's only 22 he's still young.

Congratulations. You're customer #1,000,000 who doesn't look at the Pens roster. The Pens have FIVE LEFT-HANDED DMEN UNDER CONTRACT AND NO CAP SPACE. Why are all of you so bad at this?

Quick? How long has Detroit been waiting on Zadina? Are we waiting until he's 30? It's the same every season. He's only 20. He's only 21. He's only 22. Then it'll be "He's only 23. He's only 24." Guy was drafted 6th OA to score goals. He has 4 this season. He's had lots of PP time. 2nd line ice time. Blashill literally has given him a million chances and doesn't know what to do with him.

It's like Red Wings fans are grasping at every straw they can find to justify drafting Zadina 6th OA and not drafting Hughes, Bouchard or Dobson. He's a hard worker. Great. Solid team player. Great. He's good defensively. Great. But again he told everyone he'd fill the net with pucks. Did he mean warm-up?

It all reminds me of Svechnikov. We literally kept Svechnikov because he's a great guy.

Eventually you have to admit Zadina is a bust. Yzerman didn't draft him. Holland did. I think Zadina will be traded eventually. Maybe not this season. And he won't be given away. But I fully expect the excuses to continue. He has 4 goals. Nuff said.

He's only 22 and has yet to play a full season. I doesn't matter who drafted him, Holland also drafted Larkin, Bertuzzi, Mantha, Veleno, Hronek and Berggren. I won't lie when our pick came up in 2018 I wanted Hughes because he was Defensive man and played in Michigan. Just be patient its not like he's 24 or 25 and we are still waiting for him to improve.

Sure. He's only 22. I'd love to be wrong about Zadina. But in the meantime let's keep making excuses for him.

I don’t think Van’s cap situation is that bad that they would have to trade Boeser to keep Horvat. There are lots of ways to make it work.

That said, if they were to trade Boeser, I think it would be for a defenseman. Not another forward

I'd rather keep Vrána as well but Vancouver doesn't even consider this.
