Hertl hates him. I think that Kane is a big problem not on the ice, but in life, and it seems like a guy like DeAngelo is an angel compared to Kane. Buffalo had problems in the locker room when Kane was there and unfortunately Eichel and Reinhart also fell under his influence.

He has made a team better. In the last 3 years, he has 64 points in 82 game pace. He's a good player no doubt about that
The problem with him that he is a locker room cancer. But there have been times where a change of scenery helped a player rebound on and off the ice, take for example Tony DeAngelo
So yes Kane is a good player, and yes he can make a team better. But only teams that have a strong veteran locker room presence should go after him
