Really he has the 2nd biggest cap hit among defensemen, he's 34 and he has only played in 11 games.

Really was a bad and unnecessary signing by Vegas, really didn't get why they acquired Dadonov either, just seemed like they were gonna make another big splash move like the Eichel trade at some point so why make future cap problems for yourself, Vegas seems to get out of their cap issues unscathed though so they'll likely do the same with whoever they move if they even need to.

I feel like this move is them making space unscathed really. Detroit gets a question mark in Martinez and have to retain to get any value with Dadonov.
