Disagree. Delia is definitely not starter material but he can be a backup. He has NHL experience and has only 1 NHL game this year and yes it was a disaster but 1 game is not reflective of potential. Soderblom held his own and is only 23 years old and didn't look too out of place for his first 2 appearances. What the hawks truly need are top picks and offensive depth in the system.

From Hawks point of view, if we're going to do the Fleury for Koskinen deal, a 2022 1st needs to come back. Hawks don't have one and are in desperate need of one. 2nd round picks aren't going to cut it.

Delia has now played in 4 different seasons, is already 27, and hasn't even become an NHL regular yet. He's looked alright in some games but horrible in others. Soderblom is still young, but isn't going to be our next Crawford. My point is the hawks don't have their goalie of the future in the system. Commesso could be good, but it's not like he's a top ranked goalie prospect. They literally just had to sign Morris cause they didn't even have enough goalies in the system. Lankinen is a good goalie and could be a decent starter, but like I said, we don't have our next Crawford to be excited about. I agree we need a first obviously, but we need goalie depth too.

In my opinion, I’d rather have offensive depth/potential than goalie depth. Goalies are easier to pick up in FA/trade.
