Only a new ownership group who is ready to put smart hockey people in charge of hockey operations and stop meddling in their day to day processes will "Make Them Good". Until then, rest assured that the current owners and their egos will continue to drag them down.

Buffalo has a huge fan base and they deserve better than the clowns that currently own the team.

Think 2016-2017 Zach Hyman. Leafs fans wouldn't shut up about him either

I am hopeful the smart hockey people have already been hired. The hockey department has been rebuilt

Hyman was traded for Greg McKegg. Not a top lime forward and a 2nd rounder. And if he is Hyman 2.0, why are you trading him for 2 years with Zuccarello that you won't even be relevant for?

Well... It is well underway to being rebuilt. The question is, can these billionaire idiots keep their hands out of the pie? I doubt that they can. They just don't get it and they think that their opinions actually matter when it comes to results on the ice.

Time will tell.

Every Sabres fan said no to that trade

Hyman was traded before ever playing a game when FLA was going to lose his rights after he was gonna be a college UFA. Silly to compare that

They have done that. Kevyn Adams has built one of the best analytics staff. And has hired an experienced assistant GM.

It's also silly to compare Asplund to Zuccarello and 2nd round pick yet here we are

We are rebuilding. Why would we want a guy who will be 35 before the season starts making 6 million a year and in the last year of his deal?

I didn't make the deal or agree with it from Buffalo's side. Personally, I think it makes no sense from either side

I really like Asplund, but he is worth only about a 2nd.
Zuccarello would be great on the Sabres.
I gave up talking to Little and blocked him.
I should add, I probably would not make the other trades.

The 1st trade is the worst of the bunch. Montreal would be ecstatic if they could move that cap dump for anything at all. Savard has been terrible this year and last.

Clearly, you don't get it.

I have a lot of friends who are Sabres fans. I want them to be good. Its better for the game if they are good with a dedicated fan base like the one in Buffalo.

If you think that taking shots at another teams fanbase will make those clowns better owner in Buffalo, you've already missed the boat.

My original point was/is... Buffalo and their fans deserve better than the joke owners they have. It was a compliment to the loyal fans of the Sabres.

Maybe try looking at it with less of a defensive and myopic attitude.

Hard to not be defensive cheering for this team the last 15 years now. I am just sick of the ownership comments as there is literally no control over this aspect in hockey. Not like a bad contract you can trade or buy out. Plus I would say 1/3 of the leagues ownership isnt great such as sens, coyotes, etc.
