Bruins TDL

Créé par: pbesner30
Équipe: 2021-22 Bruins de Boston
Date de création initiale: 7 janv. 2022
Publié: 7 janv. 2022
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
The Bruins could trade Haula in the offseason in order to resign Hertl and Yamamoto. Bergeron will probably take a pay cut imo (debatable), so cap wouldn't be a big concern.

Sharks accept, especially if they end up in a seller's situation by TDL. I'm not sure if Edmonton will accept the trade for DeBrusk though.

Boston is not retaining any $ on Ullmark for 4 years and the 2nd trade is certainly a no for Boston. That is a ridiculous overpay.

I think that adding Ullmark along with Debrusk is a no-brainer for the Oilers. Plus, they get rid of Koskinen for the rest of the year.

Because Don doesn't have the balls to do it. Would be good deals tho.

No because for a team with a poor prospect pool, it makes no sense to trade your best prospect for a rental. It also makes no sense to trade a goalie you just signed (who would need to waive his NMC) when you have no idea how Rask will look after surgery or if he's even going to play past this season.

If you knew how to read, Hertl isn't a rental, we can easily resign him to a multi-years contract, and the Ullmark move depends on if Rask wants to stay for a long time. If he only comes back for one year we don't trade Ullmark, but if he sticks with the team for 2-3 more years, we can't waste Swayman in the minors, therefore the oddman out would be Ullmark.

You said he could not he would. Sure he could re-sign and could also walk. You treat Hertl like a rental and if he re-signs then great. You say the Ullmark moves depends on Rask wanting to play past this year which no one knows...yet you trade Ullmark and now tell me we only trade Ullmark if Rask comes back for a year.

So in this ACGM your assuming Rask is here at least 2 years and that Hertl WOULD re-sign with Boston. Maybe the issue isn't my reading and instead the way you wrote your description sarcasm

Exactly. I think that Don Sweeney is one of the best GMs to keep guys around to a below market contract. We have many examples of players we got via trades and sticked with the team: Hall, Coyle (even if the contract is not that good), Reilly. He could do the same with Hertl. Plus, Hertl is a great locker room guy. I think that he will fit perfectly in this lineup. Although, if Rask stays for only a year, forget the Oilers trade and you could include Debrusk in the Hertl trade, allowing you to keep Reilly.
