Really? Yamo is very good and young, plus more draft capital./
This is based on what?
Sens currently have an older and better version of him in Tyler Ennis. Yamamoto isn't needed at all. They need a legit top-6 RW to support Batherson, not a guy who just isn't good enough to be top-6
Bottom-6 is Connor Brown and Austin Watson with several candidates who will try to crack the roster in the near future (Ex : Egor Sokolov)

In reality it wouldnt happen considering Sens management seems to think they arent rebuilding and Brown is a pretty big part of the team, but I think if they were building draft capital and youth, they should ponder that trade
Can't blame you to not know more about the Sens situation but the "rebuild is over" comment was either lip service (giving Dorion the benefit of the doubt) or just Dorion being as clueless as usual.
The Sens have the worst ownership/management/coaching trio in the NHL, things are not easy for them.
One of the main reasons why the team is not progressing is because Pierre Dorion is simply incapable of providing the young core quality veterans to support them. Connor Brown is THE EXCEPTION
He's an "elite 3rd liner", meaning that he doesn't need to be in an offensive role (PP, offensive zone starts, etc) to produce numbers. He is a top PKer and excels at matching up against other teams best players at even strength
Ottawa needs MORE player like him, not LESS. Which gives you a bit of an idea why his value would be a lot more than Yamamoto and a 2nd, 2 pieces the Sens have no use for too.
