Minnesota isn't trading Kaapo kahkonen! Victor Rask will clear!" MINNESOTA isn't taking on Mikko either, a very clear worse g and more expensive. A 4th line nobody doesn't matter, and 4th round pick is nothing. Kaapo is Minnesota starting g and cheap. Jesper isn't here and won't be ready for 2 years

Uh, no.

Rask can be had for free right now. He's yours if you want him. We aren't moving our best goalie when Talbot is out injured.

Waiver wire *free*. He's on waivers, we're not giving you our goalie for a player that's already been waived.

How much does Kappo ask for in the offseason and for how long? I believe Koskinen would do well in Minnesota and could resign for dirt cheap, I think Kosk could turn into another Talbot for you guys while Wallstedt.. who the Oilers should've taken instead of trading down, develops

No, we don't want or need koshkinen. We will keep Kaapo whose dirt cheap and better. Kaapo will resign with Minnesota considering his sister is going to school here. No chance we are trading him right now. We aren't getting worse in g.

I like Barrie it's just he would probably be easiest to move at that cap and we have a somewhat similar player in Bouchard

Habs reject all the way around, Montreal wants a 1st + 3rd for Chiarot. Barrie is not what we need, we need someone capable of playing top 4 not bottom pair RD

In a vacuum, Barrie can be a useful player. He is an elite PP QB, and when paired with a solid defensive partner, could be a good 2RD or great 3RD. His problem is the Oilers don't have a good LD partner for him, and his skills are replaced by the cheaper, younger Evan Bouchard. He is a defensive liability, and with the poor goaltending and other weak defenders on Edmonton, he's not a great fit there. But he could definitely be a useful piece on a different team, and his contract is reasonably fair for his skillset. At least IMO, from watching him closely the past 2 years.

No Barrie is too soft to play top 4 and is really really bad defensively, much like Gardiner

Oh ok. Cool cool. I saw a few comments on other posts recently that lead me to believe people were down on him for some reason that I could really understand just from looking at his stats.

I’ll bet every last penny I have Koskinen after this season will be out of the league

He'll definitely get another shot, he had a great start like 9-1-2 or something at one point. I say he goes on a similar start and Oilers fans will be crying saying why couldn't he do that here.
