Yeah, I'm just responding to a trade rumour involving Patrik Laine. Thought Anaheim could be a good fit if Columbus were to move on from him

Not a big fan of Laine and the Ducks shouldn't be giving up 1st Round Picks at the moment. They're still rebuilding.

Stenlund won’t be around next year. He’s already gone through waivers twice.

ANA would also have to do better in that trade. Silvferberg and Comtois aren’t exactly moving any needles. Silvferberg might very well be a net negative here.

Yeah, Silverberg is arguably a negative asset, but I'm still high on Comtois, maybe just a change of scenery if he can't pick up his game this season

It’s tough, because the ideal Laine trade package is a 1st+, so ideally a 1st and a good prospect. ANA’s farm system feels very top heavy, though, because it feels like guys like Zegras (duh) and Drysdale are untouchable, alongside McTavish.

If I’d had to put together a (relatively) reasonable ANA trade package, it would be something to the effect of McTavish and a 1st. I’d have no issue adding protections to that 1st and, just as a value note a lot of people seem to forget, Laine comes with at least 1.5 years control, considering he is an RFA after this year.

Columbus's prospect pool is pretty good, I don't think they would play too hard ball with Laine
