2 x 2nd's is "equivalent" to a 1st...

RS is not worthy of a first in his best days, no sir.

And his worth as a RENTAL?

The problem for CBJ is that they already have a logjam at F, such that I’m not sure Kravstov’s playing time demands would be met.

That being said, I’d still be intrigued by this. It’s a prime “change of scenery” play for both guys, and CBJ already have a couple of young Russians coming up.

not accepting anything less than a 2nd for Gautier...his #'s still not great- but his size and speed causes problems for the opponent every time he hits the ice. His defensive play still needs to improve- but that will come with more time on ice...and he does back check like a beast.

I’m not sure Chytil will tune out to be a top 6 center, not sure if the sharks will go for it honestly. I think they would want one of those right defenseman

I understand but NYR probably won't push further price wise. If another team does, off he goes.

If the Sharks do in fact trade Hertl it will be to the highest bidder
a 1st top RHD or C prospect and a 2nd most likely.
would also consider retention.
could i counter with Strome and the 1st for Hertl?
Strome is young enough to still consider him a potential long term help and would be much cheaper to resign. plus we badly need a RH shot too 6 player
i would expect Strome to sign for 7yr 6.5 … ish.
vs Hertl who will be 8.25-8.5 7yr

I think it would be better to keep strome and add Hertl but Chytil value isn’t what it was and you guys aren’t giving up a top RHD prospect so this would fit for us and you guys the best we can if NYR really want Hertl.

Yeah that works. Would SJ extend him or flip for more?

I would expect they resign him, without hertl we have no one close to ready to be a 2C and no RHS in our top 6 or close to being top 6 ready.
he’s a step down from Hertl no doubt, but would fill a need now, and when Bordeleau or Robins are top 6 ready (Robins is more a RW than C Bordeleau is a true C) then he can move to the wing as/if needed! he would be a good piece and fill a hole in our lineup, but i hope it’s a 5 year deal not a 6-7 year deal.

Strome would take a 4-5 year deal below $6M I'm sure.
