Thst package could get you toffoli who is a much better all around player who produces at the same rate. He is also cost controlled for 3 years so in the long term would actually be cheaper than VO who will be looking to get paid this offseason.

well the rangers obviously arent trading fox, the sabres dont want trouba, and both lundkvist and schneider are reportedly untouchable...

i mean olofsson is a great player, especially on the powerplay. he's got a lot of goal scoring potential, and he'd open a lot more scoring options for the 2nd line.

i mean olofsson definitely has more potential than toffoli, but then again for a package like that we'd be looking for a longer term piece, so i do agree toffoli is the better option. i just figured since everyones already made a toffoli acgm, i wanted to provide an alternative. also just imagine him playing with lundkvist on pp2, or his shot alongside strome and arty.

Not necessarily an trade with Rangers, we just need RD DFD, or better two.

But he’s a PP beast, and his 5v5 game has really come on this year too. So like i said, i don’t think we “want” to trade him

Wait a minute, why not Trouba?
IMO he would be perfect for Buffalo.
He is a good RHD, his cap would help Buffalo reach the floor for the next 4 years and he could be a great pairing with Dahlin or Power.
If Trouba replaced Kravtsov Buffalo could easily say yes.
But you and I both know, Trouba has a NTC and would not come to Buffalo.
