Yes, let me explain step by step

1. Vancouver gets a bonafied top 4 D-man who can be a long-term fit with Quinn Hughes in Brandon Carlo, while the Bruins get more scoring help outside of the perfection line

2. Jake Debrusk gets a change of scenery

3. Vancouver sells Myers while his value is at a high point

4. As some incentive for the Bruins to take Myers along with Boeser, Vancouver offers to take on Chris Wagner and John Moore as a couple of expensive but somewhat useful depth pieces

5. Vancouver is able to get a couple of draft picks out of this

I see. Vancouver gets the useful depth pieces + picks? I feel like Boston should be getting the picks if anything.

The two most valuable pieces are Boeser and Carlo. If you believe their values are equal (which I think Boston fans are really into Carlo, especially with his contract), then that leaves:

Myers

for

DeBrusk
Moore
Wagner
2nd Round Pick
3rd Round Pick

That's a lot of pieces going one way for taking a couple years of Myers, no?

myers playing good still doesn't give him positive value due to that contract.
'
i wouldn't trade more then a 4th for myers no retention.
carlo also has more value to boston then boeser.
RHD is a much harder position to fill then RW

for me to want to do this trade it would have to be
carlo+ debrusk for boeser, myers(50%), 22 2nd
even then i would be very hesitant on doing that

BOS declines (see QT1's comments above).

Added to that, "defense wins championships"; hence Mac & Carlo are centre-pieces to that old hockey mantra.
B's need an elite or #1 LD.
Not a steaky RW goal threat who will not see the chances in BOS as in VAN [re: Pasta]...

If you guys think Myers is still a negative asset, then you have some catching up to do, and no, I think Boeser is more valuable than Carlo, hence the draft picks

And Vancouver is not retaining 50% on Myers unless they get a ridiculous offer for him. That's an atrocious counter offer for Vancouver

Never said he’s a negative asset. I simply pointed out that Boston is paying a lot for Myers in my scenario.

Also I understand you think Boeser is more valuable but you have to understand there will be a lot of Boston fans who think otherwise. Carlo is exactly the type of player every team needs. Boeser is great but I (and it looks like a few others here) would value Carlo higher

You are very biased then if you think Myers is worth 6 mill lol and yes boeser may be the better player but a RHD is a much hard position to acquire then Wing. Usually any forward can play wing so it’s really not a position bruins should be trading a young RHD for

I never said Myers is worth 6 million, I said he's not a negative asset, there is a difference, and you're right, the RHD position is harder to fill than the right wing. Maybe it would have to be a one for one swap of Boeser and Carlo

if bruins are moving carlo for anyone it is a center. bruins would only accept it, if it was horvat or miller coming back.

myers is at best worth 3.5-4 mill he is 2 million+ overpaid for 3 years. that is 100% negative value, most ACGM's have van dumping picks to get rid of his contract so no you won't be getting debrusk or any high rd picks in return for him unless van retains

Most of those ACGM's were making those proposals before Vancouver made the coaching change, now, there is no way Vancouver dumps any draft picks to unload Myers now. The lowest Vancouver is going to sell on Myers without retention is for a late-round pick or two, if they retain salary, they are going to want a mid-round pick or two I am willing to bet
