Vegas is some 9,000,000 over the cap with LTIR. If they trade Smith they can not take back any salary. You saved them only 3.5 million, they need another 5.5 million and still field a 20 man roster at minimum. If they trade Smith and Dadadov, that would give them the cap they need but they are razor thin at the cap limit and can not take back salary. They will to get creative and will need to trade picks and prospects to get this done.
