Exactly and Boeser is a first line winger. Probably top 10 RW in the league.

That Boeser trade is so bad, why would Van trade a young top 6 scorer for guys that would be on the 4th line in Van? Makes absolutely no sense. Maybe one of blueger or mcginn with rust and a 1st

No thanks on Pittsburgh end. Just RFA rights? Not worth it. Maybe if he is signed to a good deal with term, it could work, but that's a lot of depth and picks moving. I'd honestly rather start with Kapanen and a pick on a deal.

CBJ pass. Whole point of moving Gus is to make room for the young guys.

Rebuilding team has no use for JT right now. If he wants to come home, we can talk FA in a year.

Can you see anyway Vegas is able to afford him beyond this season when they have to be able to fit Eichel under their cap?

As a Canucks fan, I'd like to believe that, but I don't think many would agree with that assessment. Boeser doesn't even make team USA on most mock rosters

Blueger and McGinn are very good depth pieces - but I wouldn’t hesitate a second to get brock boeser for them instead of losing a player like kapanen

This is 100% a troll post if you believe a top-line RW is worth quality depth pieces.

Just saw this was an offseason move, which changes things. But I think it's getting called a fleecing because a guy like Boeser should return a 1st and a high end prospect, not two 3rd liners and multiple 2nd round picks.

I'm not even that high on Boeser. I'm quite worried about his game TBH, his mobility is awful and his shot has lost something. I chalked it up to that back injury from his rookie yr. He really was a different, far more dynamic player before that. The last few game under Boudreau seem to be going much better for him though. The goals he scored were snipes, so from the perspective I wanna wait on him before dealing him. If the old Boeser comes back with a new coach he is absolutely top 10 RW. As of now he's probably just outside of that. The US will end up playing C and LW on the RW because they have so much talent elsewhere. Doesn't really change Boeser's NHL ranking.

They're decent bottom 6 fwds who I would like to have on the Canucks sure but you don't trade first line talent for that. Its like offering Motte, Pearson and 2 2nds for Jake Guentzel.

Boeser was really good in last years Covid season, arguably the team's best forward, I'm not worried that he's lost his dynamisms due to injury just yet, but I get the concern. Truth was that nobody was playing well under Travis Green toward the end, like Stan Smyl said, there was no finger pointing to be had
