Dude, you're legit arguing that the habs 1LD is better than a guy who cant even make the leafs regular roster. And if all you got is that price stole a series for you in defence of your guy then you really gotta think about whats going on here.

Price stole the series but Weber Chiarot Edmundson cross checking non-stop Leafs player helped a lot. Those guys block shots and wins puck battle behind the net. The Big 4 & Price brought the team too the SCF

I thought Price stole the Vegas series. He played well against Toronto, but it was Danault and the Defense that shut down Leafs stars... Or do Leafs stars shut themselves down in the playoffs?

Chariot and edmunson were torn up by the leafs offence and allowed a hilarious amount of quality shots and chances, their crosschecks and puck battles were ineffective and easily bypassed and they had their bacon saved by danault being elite and keeping the leafs defense out of a lot of scoring and price going into god mode. Weber faired a better but was not great.
If price was 1% worse the habs dont make it out of game 5 because their defence was so overwhelmed.
He was terrible, and he remains terrible.

Chariot put up some of the worst defensive numbers of the playoffs against the leafs.

Yeah, and Bergeron and Dubois in previous years. Weird, how elite Spin-o-rama Defenseman Travis Dermott wasnt able to get them over the hump. He is just so amazing at the 3rd RD slot. Its a wonder Leafs ever lose a game, with 6 defensemen better than the #1 defenseman available at the deadline so far. They are just so amazing until elimination games start.

If Chiarot was that bad GMs wouldn’t be ready to give a 1st RD pick for him as a rental. Is he great ? No. But he can play a lot of minutes and doesn’t get called in the playoffs because it’s more physical.

Ah yes, no gm has ever traded way too much for a bad player before. He's bad because he doesnt do anything but crosscheck people in the back while screening his own goalie.

I'd rather focus on other lower cost options. Guys like Pysyk on Buffalo, who's playing agianst top lines and is making everyone he plays with better while doing it, or Mayfield from the Islanders. They don't have the name recognition most people on here jump towards but they are putting up better results than Chiarot has over the last few seasons.

TBH, i like Mayfield more then Chairot, but idk if NYI wants to part with him. IMO, he’s incredibly underrated
