Myers has 2 years left after this one, Gallagher has 5. Not one and 6.

Gallagher is 2 years younger than Myers and played very well on a line with danault and Tatar. Canucks could build something similar with him, Horvat and Dickinson.

Also not sure if you notice, this team as a lot of cap space

I stand corrected on the years remaining, I would still take 2 more of Myers than 5 of Gallagher though. Vancouver is not competing in the next two years, so keep Myers until his contract runs its course, then spend that money on a much more effective option than Gallagher.

Again this team isn't competing this year or next for that matter, so everything should be done to ensure future success. If ones goal is simply fight for a playoff spot ASAP and not win a cup then maybe they make this trade. Personally I want a cup.

Idk why we need JBD, when we have Jett Woo coming up the rankings, who can definitely find a spot in the team next year.

Definitely rather Myers over Gallagher, our problem at the start of the season was defense and leaving Demko out to dry. Myers has definitely gotten better and improved his worst statistic, giving away penalties.

Jett Woo isn't close to making the NHL. He has played 2nd or 3rd pair minutes in the AHL. I'm still hopeful that he makes it as a bottom pair dman but that's probably 2 or 3 yrs away still.

Ya I love Gallagher but that guy has put his body through hell. He has been injured quite often the last few years and at 30 yrs old with his playing style and size I fear his days are numbered. I will be shocked if his contract doesn't look absolutely terrible as soon as next year.

Myers isn't perfect but hes still a top 4 RHD. He is really only overpaid by about 1.5mil
