Lot of quantity, but the Yotes already have quantity in picks right now. You have to offer Amirov and Robertson + imo for Chych. Those are the pieces Zona will want, not Dermott and Mrazek.

That is not a good proposal for Mayfield. The Isles have no reason to move him with another year on his deal, anything short of a 1st and Isles wouldn't even consider.

-40 PIM this season rank him eleventh for time spent in the penalty box in the entire league, his lack of discipline is a problem.
-liability when it comes to exiting the zone, 24 giveaways, 17 of which are in the defensive zone
-he is a decent bottom pair defenseman on a great contract, good in his own end, he's good on the PK

What's his trade value?

If Mayfield is on your bottom pair you are really happy, if he is on the 2nd pair you are happy not thrilled, if he is on your first pair you are not happy. Part of the issue with giveaways and turnovers this year has to do with the forwards not supporting the exits and too often all in the same spot and not spread out to support their D-Zone exits.

Fair value if he was in the final year of his contract would be a 2nd. Because he has another year on his contract the Isles would consider a trade if there was a 1st available, but if not you keep Mayfield and revamp for next year.

I struggle that he is worth a 1st. But agree with the rest. He is being asked to do to much with all the injuries.

I agree that he really shouldn't return a 1st, but the Isles really do not have a need to move him with the additional year on the contract and how cheap it is. With the Isles expected to return to a PO team next year you would want Mayfield on the team unless someone made an offer that was too good not to accept.

Yup, agreed. There is no real reason to trade him unless a desperate team wants to overpay. I hope Dubas is not that GM. I like the player but not if it costs a first or top prospect.
