He wasn't likely to be in the NHL in the next few years anyhow and he'll probably make more in the KHL for now, so good for him. He'll be 21 when his new deal ends so if he stays in the KHL past this deal, that's a different story imo..

Considering that's the last year of the huge Parise/Suter dead cap, he'll have a good chance to come into the NHL since they'll need cheap players.
