I actually don't know what to think about this. It would be a almost guaranteed cup winning move as well it kills the future of the team though, maybe swap holloway with bourgault? It would be a blockbuster for the ages tho.

While that's true, Fleury at 3.5 mil is light-years better than Koskinen. Besides, Koskinen's got to be expected to regress back to his career averages at some point.

Couldn't you try to maneuver to get Kravtsov instead of a 2nd? He would easily be top-9 on this team, potentially top-6.
EDIT: Just looked back at the roster. While I'm admittedly not familiar with the Blackhawks, I think that he's easily a 1st line RW on that team.

Well, my second point would have been that EDM could trade Koskinen for positive value.
Devils may be looking for veteran on final year since Bernier's injury may be season-ending.

The post I was commenting on suggested that Koskinen was better this year than previously. His performance at the beginning of the year has probably been weighed down by the Oilers's recent slump. Besides that, Fleury is a recent Vezina winner. Take out Colliton's coaching, and he has a .939. That is light-years better than a .907.

The issue is still the same.

Even if he is your #1 LD, I’m not sure the loss of DeHaan, considering how bad CHI otherwise may be, is enough to be consequential in anything more than, what, a loss or two? The guy hasn’t scored a single point all season.

I’m not sure giving up the value of a 3rd rounder is enough to make a difference in order to “buy” a loss or two. Plus, for every draft spot “worse” for CHI (slash better for CBJ), the odds you gain of the better draft spot have to be taken in with the improved odds the pick is 1 or 2 OA, and is retained by CHI.

And I mean, if that happens, sure the pick is then unprotected in 2023, but if CHI gets a Shane Wright, I don’t see them as being a worse team next year. Still probably bottom-10, but not worse.

Then again, I don’t follow them as closely. As a CBJ fan, I’m just tracking them because of the pick.

Take out Holloway and I think it's a fair offer.

A couple late firsts doesn't get you kane half retained. Holloway would be a must have in any kane trade

not to mention Flower is in here half retained, and all of koskinen, kassain, turris have negative value

I would like to see more value in the Kane trade. Kassian is a painful dump, the 2 1sts are going to be 25-30 with Kane and MAF there and Holloway's inclusion doesn't increase the value enough.
