I dont understand why Rangers would trade Kakko+ for 2 years of Kane. Rangers are so young, i cant imagine why they would rush their window...

Cause Kakko and Lafreniere will be ready when Ziba and Kreider will be too old. Why not move Kakko and some young players for 2 Cups?

Also Habs easily get a 1st and 3rd or more for Chariot.

Chairot will cost teams a 1st round pick unless you are taking on salary like Byron or another UFA, seems to be the going cost.

Patrik Elias was the 2000 Cup Devils' best player at 23 years old. They can be ready in the next 1-2 years and those two vets still have plenty in the tank. Im a huge Kane fan but this is a Sather-esque rush. Stay the course and stay as cap flexible as possible to add help when the time is right. This team is not a real contender rn imo but will make noise and grow tg.
