I don't think one third round pick multiple years away is completely unreasonable, he hasn't been great this year but has had success in the past. Mrazek is in a similar situation, has struggled with injury to start but is still a great goaltender. If somehow it works out I'd love to be able to keep Mrazek, but unfortunately with the cap unlikely to rise it just seems impossible.

cap goes up by a mill so its 82.5mill

Kase probs gonna make 1.5-1.75 mill

2.5mill be to much

As for Sandin and Liligren probs get their QA of 874,125k as they dont got arbitration and rn dont see them earning more than a mill each

Campbell also probs does 5x4yrs and not 3 as if he does 3 his deal will be 4.5mill

The cap going up 1 million would make things a lot easier, and with the current revenue projections it's possible. Kase is getting a lot of top 6 action right now and has been producing consistently, if he continues on his current point projections in the two million range isn't completely out of question. You make a good point about Sandin and Liljegren though, that is definitely a possibility, although I feel like Sandin has been playing at a level where he could get more money.

Hes played okay in his 4 NHL games but he's a sub 900 goaltender in the 50 games he's played in the AHL. I have no faith in him in the long run.

I doubt we'll get anything for him, but man the tight cap has really biased people's opinions on players. He's actually been a decent bottom 6 winger. But in this tight cap post covid world you can't pay 2.5 mil for him. I think 4 years ago on a non cap team people would more shrug their shoulders at him...

i agree, without the flat cap i could see this happening but 2.5 for a bottom six player is too much to give up an asset for, especially when you know the other team needs to move out money and has no leverage

Nobody is giving up good picks for Mrazek. Especially not a team that has too many goalies already

Yup. If the leafs need to trade him in the offseason they'll likely pay a bit or at best get future considerations
