But does Larkin play center or LW he was a LW fro the most part until Zetterberg left Detroit. He played LW on Eichel's line and after that he was a LW on Matthews line.

You also have to consider that Bowman was the GM of Team USA and just recently stepped down.

Zegras doesn't make team USA. Countries had to submit a list of 50 players in the middle of October, who are the only eligible players to be named to the team. Basically nothing that has gone on during the NHL season this year will matter for who gets named to their teams.

This was debunked and teams could have longer lists and add names as they went.
