I like that Rangers deal for both sides. Schneider has been fantastic in the AHL this year.

imo NYR should not do this i really do not think bo horvat is that good. Additionally he doesn't have that much term

He’s a consistent 20 goal 60 point guy who also happens to be one of the best faceoff guy in the league. He would be a perfect fit behind Zibanejad, and Schneider++ is a fair price point. Not to mention he is captain material, bringing leadership as well.

i understand that hes a solid face-off guy buy im much happier just extending strome and keeping out assets since i also think strome is better than horvat. the rangers have enough leadership and if they dont its easy to acquire.

At RD you have Trouba, Fox and Lundkvist and realistically Trouba isn't going to waive until his Fiancé is done with her residency at the earliest that is 2024. Lundkvist is a top 4 defenseman and very well be a 1st pair defenseman. So how much longer is Lundkvist going to be happy in the 3rd pair? As long as you have those 3 dmen barring an injury Schneider will be play the majority of his games in the AHL. But I have no idea how far out he is so maybe he won't be ready before Trouba is gone.
