I'll play along. On the picks, there's definitely enough, but getting a bunch picks that are likely to be at the bottom of each round isn't so great, so the player portion needs to be a little more front-loaded, especially if you want the Pens to retain that much money.

1 )Chytil is kind of meh, so you can take him out, but if he's purely for salary reasons, then I get it.
2) Kravtzov is fine.
3) Gorgiev serves no purpose for the Pens
4) Nemeth serves no purpose for the Pens
5) You'd need to add Braden Schneider for this to even start to make sense.

No Kakko, Lafrieniere, Zibanejad, Fox, Lundkvist, or any other D prospect... this is lunacy. AND 50% retention!? Somehow, it seems Crosby is underrated today

Sid missed conditioning the whole summer because of surgery.
Sid missed the entire pre-season, so no time to get into game shape.
Sid finally comes back and gets covid, misses a few more weeks.
Sid now was 13 points in 13 games. Who does that? lol Not to mention is he's not even at 100% yet.

If Sid wound up on the Rangers, it's their cup to lose. Kakko, Schneider, Kravtzov, 2022 1st, a 2023 1st and maybe a 2nd is what this needs to look like.

Yeah that proposal is better. I'm a Rangers fan but I love Sid. Still think he's the best in the game. Would absolutely love him on the Rags but I really don't think it's remotely possible. Definitely would be no retention from PIT, and at that point, it's near impossible to work for NYR, unless it's a Zibanejad swap, which probably doesn't benefit anyone

Yeah, I see some people on here talk about Sid like he's washed up and I never get it. These trades are interesting to talk about, but they're never going happen. It's like 99% likely Sid retires a Penguin or at the very least finishes out his contract. If the Pens are trading Sid it means they're ripping the whole thing down.

Def a move the Rangers of old would have tried for. I think those times are gone as they pack out the stadium and hockey is massive in NY already. Sid is still elite and I agree with the above that he will retire a penguin. Only thing that could change that is with the New Owners try to do something completely left field. They did move Mookie Betts at the Red Sox.
