I don't mind Brannstrom, but he doesn't really make sense for NSH; they already have quite a few undersized defenseman in Carrier, Davies, and Farrance. I just don't see the fit.

I agree. If Ekholm played the right side , I would be all for it. But I just don’t like him in Nashville. I think Boston would be a great fit next to Carlo but can’t see Ottawa sending him there , they don’t really have anything nice to send back

That Point trade absolutely scares me especially considering you’re doing it with a division rival

TB just signed Point to an 8 year contract extension yeah they trade him right after and never get another team friendly contact again . No chance this happens!!!

I prefer Myers over Brännström for the Preds, and Del Zotto doesn't have positive value for NSH. Preds decline.

Add Norris, Batherson and your 1st (Wright) and Tampa considers.

Yes I know it's ridiculous, but so is your current trade. Stutzle's ceiling is maybe (MAYBE) a tiny bit higher than what Point is already at.

Norris probably scores 30 goals this season and he's 22 y/o facing top opposition. Don't think you'll be able to sign him for 5 years at 4.5

Craig Anderson? I mean, what a guy and what a player he was for Ottawa but he's going to be 41 y/o

Also, don't sign James Neal

If the Sens have the chance to draft Shane Wright, lol they won't really need Brayden Point then.

I mean Wright, Norris and Pinto. That could be deadly, Norris would probably be one of the best #2 and Pinto one of the best #3

Point is a beauty but damn, Stutzle is going to be damn good too. We have seen glimpses of what he could do (like last game). Elite talents are able to put it together at some point and do it constantly. It's really really risky to trade him.

Giving Zub who is absolutely needed on RD makes it even harder. Not to mention Gustavsson who is the "goalie of the future" at the moment. he has been nothing short of stellar in basically every game he played, including this season. Outsiders probably gonna get fooled by his current SV% (0.899) but it doesn't mean much on Ottawa currently with the worst team defense of the last 25 years

1. Norris will want more than 4.5 million

2. You're 100K short of Gaudette's QO.

3. Giroux will re-sign with the Flyers

4. The trade with Nashville doesn't make much sense for either team.

5. The Tampa trade is horrifying for Ottawa.

6. The trade with Seattle doesn't make much sense for either team.

7. The trade with Arizona doesn't make much sense for either team.

And his floor should be 55-60pts. Don’t forget the Zub addition lol

Indeed, what a ridiculous comment

Stutzle is going to be an elite player. These 19 years olds on ELCs are worth a LOT

Artem Zub is a 25 y/o two-way beast

Filip Gustavsson is a 23 y/o bonafide top goalie prospect

It's a pretty damn good package. It doesn't mean TB SHOULD do it (you keep the guy you won with) but thinking the value is off like that is delusional. Most Sens fans won't want this to happen.

Also, Batherson is going to be considered one of the best contracts in the whole NHL for the next 6 years

Norris is 22 y/o and probably scores 30 goals this year while playing against top competition

Oh and you mentioned Ottawa's 1st too...lol add Vasilevskiy, Hedman and your next 2 firsts

Ya that won’t get you half of Brayden point, throw in your 1sts for the next 5 years and maybe tampa will consider it

Stutzle, Zub, Gustavsson and a 2nd?

That trade for Point??

Forget that Point just signed a massive extension, which could make him untradeable if things go south for him.

Forget that we are giving away the 3rd overall pick from 2020 and who is still on his ELC.

Forget that we are giving away our best RD and who has a super cheap contract.

Forget that we are giving away our best goalie prospect and a 2nd round pick.

Tampa is getting a valuable piece for every position from this trade.

Point was just one piece in Tampa's cup wins when there were about 20-25 others.

We wouldn't even give up this package for Eichel.

Hockey is a team sport and you should be smart enough to know that.

But I have my doubts.

This is not a steal.

This is a waste.

Ottawa declines.

First off point is statistically and analytically better than eichel so it doesn’t matter if you’d give this up for eichel or not, points extension is an absolute steal for tampa considering point is a top 5 center in the league and a top 10 player. Lastly Ottawa never gets the chance to decline because tampa would’ve hung up the phone immediately, it’s gonna cost this package and atleast Ottawa’s firsts for this year and next to get point

That doesn't make any sense.

At all.

Ottawa wouldn't have made the phone call to Tampa in the first place.

You just mad that teams won’t give you good players for less than half their value
