The big target if Detroit trades Hronek would have to be Horvat, and a guy like Myers or Poolman gets tacked on as a temporary replacement. Picks could go either way, but I feel like Yzerman would only settle for the best if he's trading a guy as integral to our defense as Hronek.

UI wouldn't trade Hronek's jock strap for Meyers. I mean no disrespect to Vancouver fans I just really don't like him.

Dumba is pretty much untouchable. He was also just named Alternative captain and one of the reasons was because to reassure him about his future in Minnesota.

I guess we just have different opinions on him then, I wouldn't like Myers as a first pairing guy but he's a little over-hated for his contract. I think he can anchor a second pairing, and if he comes back with retention I definitely wouldn't be opposed to having him.

Not directly for Myers, only as part of a deal to get Horvat. Trading them one-for-one is counterintuitive for the Wings, Myers is a temporary replacement but Horvat is the target.

Dumba won't be available this season but due to the Wild cap issues i could see him being available at the draft.
What would you offer is the question, keeping in mind the only reason Dumba would be available is the Wild need cap space so a money in equal to money out deal really won't work.

Look at his possession metrics relative to team. While stats will never give you the whole picture but his are on par with Jonathon Ericsson. I think Motte in Detroit will be like Kyle Quincy's 2nd stint in Detroit.

It’s possible it turns sour, but he’s got a better track record and I wouldn’t be too disappointed if he ends up on the third pairing by the last year of the deal. Having the big Texan in the room until 2024 can’t end up that badly in my eyes. If he’s retained anywhere from 25-50% I’d bite the bullet for a better deal on Horvat.
