Description
They would still be missing that goal scorer, but Wahlstrom should easily throw in 30+. If they are in a spot for the playoffs at the 23 TDL, they could go make a move for a goal scorer. This also gives them the cap space for after the 22-23 season to resign Barzal and Wahlstrom, who would be the only guys needed to sign based on this roster below.

"Meh" on that Ducks trade. If we're spending that type of money on the wing, might as well just keep the picks and pony up for Rakell instead.

Plus, might have a lot of space this upcoming offseason, but 2 years down the road you've got Zegras, Drysdale and Terry all getting what are likely significant raises. As much as I like Palmieri, he isn't the answer. Think you're likely stuck with him and his NTC.

avs reject this trade instantly, seriously why are the avs trading an important player for a bunch of stuff to try to save the islanders season.
Also the salary cap exists for the avs,
