Signing Giroux but not having him as a center on a team that is missing quality veteran centers? Also having Pinto (who is unfortunately missing a full season) as the 3rd line center would be a better idea than throwing him in the 2nd line center role. Let him focus on his strengths and work from there. It would also allow Paul and Brown to have a good season, also playing to their strrengths in a matchup role. Personally I believe Greig is going to be quite good so look at that 2nd line : sexy!
Also hope we're not re-signing Sanford (but trading him). Angus Crookshank will make this team. He would be a regular already if he didn't injure himself
Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Stutzle - Giroux - Greig
Paul - Pinto - Brown
Crookshank - White - Formenton
Watson
Chabot - Thomson
Sanderson - Zub
Brannstrom - Zaitsev
Heatherington - Del Zotto
Gustavsson
Murray
Defense and goaltending look optimal though! But if I am Matt Murray, I never play another game for the Ottawa Senators so I ask to be traded
Quoting: palhal
Wouldn't recommend a 34 year old Giroux be signed to a five year contract by any team.
Yeah max you should go is probably 3 years
