Has Dickinson been that bad this year? I love that kid........

He's done all right. He struggled to find a permanent spot on the roster but he seems to have gotten something going centering the fourth line

The Jets signed Lowry to an extension this past summer, they're not going to downgrade him to a player that doesn't give the Jets anything they don't already have.

That's the thing, I don't know if I'd call it a downgrade, and it's not as if Lowry's cap hit is much of a bargain either

You might not, but anyone other that a Canucks fan would call it a downgrade. Lowry doesn't score much at all, but he scores more than Dickinson. That would be the only thing that Dickinson could possibly be better than Lowry at and he's not. So, the Jets just keep the better player.

I'm not against any trade that improves the Jets, but downgrades, even if they aren't massive, don't make a better team.
